Automotive core tools: from APQP to SPC
Core tools create real value when used as a system that feeds itself, not as separate checklists.

For a supplier working to IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC are often seen as separate forms to fill in. In reality, these tools are parts of a single system that runs from product quality planning to series production.
APQP defines which outputs must be ready and when. FMEA prioritises risks and feeds the control plan. MSA proves the measurement system can be trusted, while SPC shows whether the process stays stable over time. PPAP presents all of this evidence to the customer.
When the links between the tools break — for example, when a risk identified in the FMEA never reaches the control plan — a customer complaint usually follows.
Hands-on core tools training and implementation consulting are the fastest way to rebuild those links.
